About the Team
The BLOCK Project concept was created by BLOCK Architects - Seattle's social justice architecture firm - in 2016. Rex Hohlbein and Jenn LaFreniere designed the BLOCK Home with the goal of setting a new precedent in housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness. In 2017, BLOCK Architects enlisted Facing Homelessness to bring the BLOCK Project to the community. With compassion and hope, Facing Homelessness manages and owns the BLOCK Project, an initiative they believe will catalyze a movement to end homelessness. BLOCK Architects and more than a dozen other partners help lead the success of the initiative.
